Windshire Park is a public park located within the Windshire housing community in the Front Range of Windsor, Colorado. This community park features a basketball court, playground, picnic pavilion, and large grassy play areas. The City of Windsor's main goal was to create a park for all ages that showcased the beauty of the surrounding area - and they did just that!
Superior Playgrounds designed two different playground structures targeted towards the 2-5 year and 5-12 year age ranges. Both playground structures were intentionally designed to complement the mountains and the surrounding landscape. The smallest structure features a treehouse theme, while the 5-12-year-old play structure features strong vertical lines that allow for uninterrupted views of the mountains behind the playground. Additionally, Superior incorporated plenty of bench seating, a 16' x 24' shelter with picnic tables and outdoor grills, as well as other site furnishings like bike racks and trash receptacles. The whole park was tied together with a natural color scheme of brown, tan, and green.
