In Clemmons, North Carolina, Superior Playgrounds designed two different playground structures to cater to the different age ranges that attend Friends Baptist Church. The playground structure that has only one fabric shade is designed for children aged between 2-5 years, while the structure with two fabric-shaded components is designed for children aged between 5-12 years. Each playground structure presents unique but age-appropriate challenges for their designated age groups to conquer. Additionally, the built-in shading features help protect children from the sun and its harmful UV rays, so that children can play carefree in the comfort of the cool shade.
In keeping with the design concept of having two play structures for specific age groups, Superior also created swing sets to suit each age range. For the 2-5 age range, a two-bay swing set was installed closer to the ground with a single bucket seat for small children to be safely included. As for the 5-12-year-olds, a four-bay swing set was installed with slightly higher seating to accommodate the taller children in this age range. Friends Baptist Church has ensured that every age range feels included in these design choices.
