Bayonne, New Jersey has opted for major reconstruction by updating two of its parks, namely Francis G. Fitzpatrick Park and Dennis P. Collins Park. The latter park underwent a large-scale renovation to create an enormous play area that caters to children of all ages. This was achieved by installing several new playgrounds, each designed to offer age-appropriate challenges for kids. The playgrounds are equipped with a wide range of equipment and play structures that encourage physical activity, social interaction, and imaginative play.
The project was undertaken by Superior Playgrounds with the aim of preserving the old memories of Uncle Milty’s, an amusement park that once occupied much of the land that is now Dennis P. Collins Park. The new playgrounds pay tribute to the park's past while making it a safe place for kids to play for years to come. The amusement park-themed play area boasts multiple fun, safe, and shaded play structures, designed to keep children entertained for hours at a time. Additionally, a shaded area filled with spring riders was installed, creating a carousel-like look. Its bright blue, red, and yellow colors make the park’s many playgrounds stand out without being an eyesore. The play area is located right in front of a breathtaking view with several shaded or unshaded seating places nearby, which parents can enjoy while spending time outside with their children.
