Project Summary
Located within a growing Southern California community, the playground at Eastvale Square was designed to be a vibrant play destination that complements surrounding homes and community spaces. With careful coordination among builders, landscapers, and subcontractors, the playground was installed efficiently and integrated seamlessly into the site’s construction timeline.
Playground Design for a Growing HOA Community
Eastvale Square required a dynamic, family-friendly play space that would:
- Serve multiple age groups
- Encourage active outdoor play
- Complement surrounding residential architecture
- Withstand Southern California sun exposure
To meet these goals, the design team created two distinct and dynamic, ocean-inspired playground zones within a cohesive layout.
Playground Features and Details
The design includes two distinct playground areas crafted to engage children of different ages and abilities:
- A larger play structure, our FXT-WIR-512-0023 tower playground, featuring 14-foot steel towers, climbing elements, and slides to challenge older kids
- A smaller age-appropriate playground that caters to children ages 2-12 years and features lower slides and climbers
Both playgrounds features a cooler color palette of grays, blue, white, and azure to further enhance the ocean theme.
Both were installed on 8,500 square feet of custom pour-in-place rubber surfacing that was inspired by ocean colors, from sandy beiges to deep blues, tying the theme together while providing a safe, accessible play surface.
Climbers & Activity Elements
To enhance physical activity and encourage social play, the space incorporates freestanding climbers, spinners, and swings. The freestanding play elements promote coordination, strength, and interaction among users of varied skill levels. The freestanding equipment includes:
- Inclusive Atom Spinner
- Arched Swing Bay with a See Me Swing and Bucket Seat
- Inclusive Team Swing
- Tower Net Ascend Rope Climber
